Current Problems of Agriculture - Lectures Series

Doctoral School of Quantitative and Natural Sciences would like to invite all interested to series of lectures  by Professor Paolo Nanniperi. Professor Nanniperi began his scientific career at the Institute of Soil Chemistry. He worked at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Tuscia until 1990 and at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Florence. As an employee of the University of Florence, he served as Director of the Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition from 2001 to 2007, and as Director of the Department of Plant Production, Soil and Agroforestry of Environmental Sciences from 2013 to 2016. Professor Nanniperi is the author of some 250 international publications and editor of five books. According to the Web site, the number of citations without self-citation is 6779 with an h-index of 30. He has been recognized according to Thomson Reuters among the "World's Most Influential Scientific Minds 2015," which identifies the most cited scientific researchers in the world. From 2000 to 2016, the professor was editor-in-chief of the journal Biology and Fertility of Soils, Springer (impact factor 3.069). President of the Italian Society of Agricultural Chemistry (2002-2002). Professor Nannipieri has been invited to numerous international conferences to give lectures. He has also served on international research evaluation and international project selection committees.

The lectures are conducted within the framework of the "UMCS Doctoral Schools - Your Success in Globalized World of Science" project, with the main goal of internationalizing the education process at UMCS Doctoral Schools.
