Frustra to obiecujący, studencki zespół grający autorską muzykę.

Wincentego Pola.

We would like to invite you to the third „MEET LIFE STYLE” meeting – concert of two student bands: Frustra and The Helping Hand. Ashta Eez from Zimbabwe will sing a few solo songs. Admission to the concert is free, number of places limited.

Frustra is a promising student band playing their own music. The artists have recently had an opportunity to debut in Chatka Żaka with their first concert which was organized thanks to the Bogdanka Cultural Scholarships in Chatka Żaka. The young musicians build their repertoire on the basis of old Slavic legends, however, making interesting re-interpretations of them. They also do not shy away from bold, original arrangements, interweaving them with themes taken from traditional music.

The Helping Hand – the other band that we are going to see during the concert – is the quintessence of transnational and inter-academic cooperation and integration. Its members come from four countries – India, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana, and at the
same time attend four different universities in Lublin – UMCS, WSPA, WSEI, WSSP. In their extremely lively music, they combine the familiar with the original and exotic, using traditional ethnic instruments and an interesting repertoire which includes popular and traditional music hits. They say about themselves that they are „the sound of the Pandemic and they are here to make the audience smile”.

Although each of the bands has its own special style, their common denominator is undoubtedly the youthful energy that accompanies their concerts and a fresh approach to the well-known repertoire. However, the young artists do not avoid experiments and original compositions.
