Rector's announcement on the epidemiological situation - Coronavirus

Due to the epidemiological situation in Asian countries and Italy, we are obliged to comply with the guidelines and recommendations set out in the announcements published on the websites of the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate and the Poviat Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Lublin.

For the sake of security of the entire UMCS Community, people who have recently returned from Asian countries and Italy, in particular from the regions of: Lombardy, Veneto, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna, Lazio (even if they have not had contact with the sick and feel themselves good) - we strongly recommend limiting activity for 14 days (staying at home), monitoring health status and contacting sanitary inspection.

If you notice disturbing respiratory problems within 14 days, you should call the sanitary and epidemiological station by phone or contact an infectious disease doctor immediately.

Students of the Mari Curie-Skłodowska University, who are affected by the above message, are asked to contact the lecturers, while the lecturers should flexibly allow them to pass the classes.

Employees of the Mari Curie-Skłodowska University who are at risk and therefore cannot work, are advised to inform their immediate supervisor.

The matter should be treated as urgent and important.

Rector of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University

prof. dr hab. Stanisław Michałowski
