Conference "EU-ASEAN. Models of integration"

International Conference "EU-ASEAN. MODEL OF INTEGRATION" will be held at the UMCS Political Science Faculty on September 18-20. 2017 r. The Conference will take place in the Faculty Building, Pl. Litewski 3 in Lublin. The proceedings will be open to all the UMCS community.

The Conference “EU – ASEAN: Models of Integration”  will focus on integration processes in the EEC/EU and ASEAN organisations with special emphasis on their characteristics and distinctiveness; internal and external variables; platforms, dimensions, processes and dynamics. The discussion will be focused on the normative, institutional and functional dimensions of both organisations and explore the broader issue of an optimal model for integration. The Conference will be a gathering of splendid group of academics, experts and diplomats from several continents. The Conference commemorates the 6oth Anniversary of the Rome Treaties and the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN (Association of South-East Asian Nations).

Keynote lecture “Shaping a New Global Order” by Professor Adam Daniel Rotfeld, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland. His Excellency Mr Shigeo Matsutomi, Ambassador of Japan and Her Excellency Ms Patricia Ann V. Paez, Ambassador of Philippines will be among the Conference guests.
