For over 25 years, the university radio station has trained many reporters and journalists who have become renowned radio personalities nationwide. Radio’s “alumni” are almost a thousand students at Lublin’s universities. Despite being professionally engaged elsewhere, many are still attracted to the radio and host their programmes. The station affords UMCS offers a chance to learn the profession supervised by experienced journalists and senior colleagues in several divisions: information, culture, sport, and music; they learn how to prepare news, media reports, interviews, and how to be an anchor, DJ, or a sound technician.
The station is the voice of the university but also the city of Lublin: our reporters can reach every corner of the city for an exciting scoop. We reach audiences within a 20-km radius of the city.
