Promotion Projects Office

The UMCS Promotion Projects Office conducts ongoing activities to build a positive image of the University and promote the education offer addressed to candidates for first and second-degree studies in the country and abroad. In order to meet the needs of potential candidates, a series of webinars in four languages ​​(Polish, English, Russian and Ukrainian) was initiated, presenting the education offer, study conditions, and development opportunities at the University, as well as the offer of postgraduate studies.

The 17th edition of the Lublin Science Festival, i.e. one of the most significant popular science events in Poland, was co-organized by the Team of the Promotion Projects Office. The festival was held as a hybrid on September 18-24, 2021, under the slogan "Science Without Borders. Enjoy science! " and gathered thousands of international people.

As an alternative to the traditional Open Doors, in April 2020 and 2021, an online multimedia form was carried out - Virtual Open Doors at UMCS. Each of the live broadcasts, carried out on social media channels, attracted several hundred to several thousand recipients.

In September 2020, Lublin Virtual Science Days were initiated and prepared in cooperation with other public universities in Lublin and the Lublin City Hall. During them, several dozen popular science films were shown. A unique internet platform was launched, and all materials and presentations were available.

In 2019 and 2020, the UMCS Promotion Projects Office also carried out several various initiatives, such as The 1st Internationalization Day, meetings with speakers as part of the UMCS & Santander Meet-up series, multicultural workshops "Hakuna Matata", multicultural training for employees or the campaign of distributing holiday meals for foreigners living in dormitories "Intercultural Home Breakfast for residents of UMCS". During recruitment for the academic year 2021/2022, a new recruitment portal was implemented - the Recruitment Service System - financed by the "Cyfrowe Lubelskie" program. The unit was also the initiator of a new formula of popular science podcasts entitled "Voice of Science" and a change in the profile of the UMCS channel on the YouTube platform.

The areas of activity of the UMCS Promotion Office:

  • conducting promotional and image-building activities for the University;
  • support for university social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn);
  • conducting promotional activities addressed to candidates for studies, presenting the University's educational offer, including content administration in the Recruitment Service System and the "Candidate" area at;
  • organization of university-wide events, such as Internationalization Day, Meet-up UMCS & Santander "Hakuna Matata", Great Test of the English Language "Challenge Accepted", language competition "Faces of America";
  • organization of UMCS Open Doors and alternative online forms, such as Virtual Open Doors, Lublin Virtual Science Days;
  • implementation of image photo sessions and promotional video recordings;
  • developing UMCS marketing campaigns in Poland and abroad;
  • coordination on behalf of UMCS of the "Santander Universidades" program;
  • preparation of university information materials (folders, brochures, etc.);
  • fulfilment of orders for promotional gadgets of the University;
  • participation in educational fairs;
  • coordination of the partner school program.
