You will experience a variety of learning and teaching methods – depending on your subject. At UMCS it is common for students to have a combination of lectures, classes, tutorials, seminars, lab sessions, as well as online learning materials. Teaching may take place in small groups (tutorials and seminars), as well as in large groups (lectures). Students are expected to actively participate in class discussions, follow lectures, write essays and interact socially with other students. That is why international candidates MUST have an adequate Polish/English language proficiency in order commence their studies. Students who do not have an adequate command of English/Polish (at least at the B2 level) will experience great difficulty in understanding lectures, producing written work and sitting examinations, as well as integrating into the life of Lublin. |
