In the last days of June, representatives of UMCS took part in another Fab Labs meeting within ATHENA. The FabLab Meeting in Porto brought together representatives of 7 partner universities.
UMCS was represented by Anna Grzegorczyk, the head of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Center and Małgorzata Czarnomska from the Competence Development Office.
The first day was devoted to presentations of currently operating FabLabs and plans to create them. The organizers also showed some of the Fab Labs they have.
The second day was divided into 2 parts: The first was about developing a scenario for a joint program to support student exchange/joint course linking all universities:

The second part of the second day was a tour of spaces equipped with modern technology, the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Laboratory- (where we were able to experience how modern technology is used in research but also in projects to raise awareness about mental illnesses, dedicated to the general public) and the Pedagogical Faculty of the University of Porto.
