PREFERRED RESEARCH AREAS OF DOCTORAL DISSERTATIONS 

I specialize in contemporary international relations. Research interests are wide and this may be the scope of the subject of doctoral dissertations. In particular I prefer:

  1. theories of international relations;
  2. international security, its non-military dimensions, strategic culture of states, new quality of conflicts;
  3. international ecological policy  and climate change negotiations;
  4. international order and international institutions including theory of international regimes;
  5. globalization processes;
  6. international relations in Central and Eastern Europe;
  7. change in international relations and the concept of the late- Westphalian international order.

ACADEMIC PROFILE 

I am a political scientist specializing in international relations, a graduate of the University of Warsaw. At this university, I obtained in political science and international relations the doctoral and postdoctoral degrees. I am a titular professor.

My scientific achievements include over 230 publications, books, edited monographs, articles in journals also in English. I have experience in the implementation of  9 all-Polish and international research projects. I was a scholarship holder of numerous foundations, conducting research at universities in the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Italy (European University in Florence) and Hungary (University of Central Europe) and several short-term study trips at London School of Economics and Political Science. I gave papers at IPSA, EISA, BISA and other congresses. Since 2011, I have been the vice-president of the Polish Society for International Studies. I am a supervisor of 38 doctoral dissertations including in English. Some of them were awarded prizes in competitions, and 15 PhD students won grants for their research. I have experience in reviewing over 40 doctoral theses and 38 procedures for the habilitation degree. I was an expert of many institutions. In the years 2010-2013 I was  nominated by the President of the Republic of Poland a member of the Strategic Review of National Security Committee, which prepared the first in the history  the White Book of Poland's National Security, Warsaw 2013. I am co-author of this book. In November 2021 I was honored by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Union of Scientists of Ukraine with the title of "Best Foreign Scientist 2021 in Ukraine"

As a superviser of doctoral dissertations, I attach great importance to their substantive, theoretical and methodological level as well as the correctness of the language. An important priority of my activities is to shape the research culture of doctoral students, including:

a) theoretical and methodological competences;
b) ability to obtain external funds for research;
c) presenting research results through publications and participation in conferences;
d) internationalization of research activity.

Doctor with habilitation in social sciences, employed as an associate professor at the Institute of Political Science and Administration, Faculty of Political Science and Journalism of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. Head of Department of International Security. Author of numerous publications on International Relations, including non-traditional security threats, international political economy and foreign policy. Research interests include the problems of modern migration, food security and development issues considered from the perspective of national and international security as well as globalization processes and transnational corporations. Participant of many international conferences and national and international research projects, including those carried out under Horizon 2020. Privately, owner of her own farm and fan of Italian culture and language.

Author of five scientific monographs. Founder (2011) and scientific editor of the Iberoamerican Studies of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. Founder (2014) and editor-in-chief of "Anuario Latinoamericano - Ciencias Políticas y Relaciones Internacionales". Author of dozens of scientific articles published in Poland, Argentina, Czech Republic, Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Germany, Russia, Serbia, Turkey. Scientific editor of nineteen co-authored books publications in Polish, English, and Spanish. Reviewer of 16 doctoral dissertations, five in foreign languages, three abroad (Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle, Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid, Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Brazil).
