'Languages without borders' workshops

On 22 and 23 March 2023, another workshops conducted by foreign students of UMCS for students of high schools and primary schools took place.

Workshops under the 'Languages without borders' slogan were organised at Szkoła Podstawowa nr 18 im. Macieja Rataja and at Prywatne Liceum im. Królowej Jadwigi in Lublin. The workshops were another event organised in the Outreach Program for High Schools formula.

The aim of the workshop is the intercultural integration of foreign students studying at our University and the promotion of the English-language educational offer of UMCS among high school students. The meetings are held as part of the Welcome to Poland – 'UMCS 4 All' project financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

The meetings with the young people consisted of linguistic and cultural workshops for eight classes (a total of 16 workshops over two days). The meetings with students were attended by: Anna Sanga – a Tanzanian student of Tourism Management at the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management, students of International Relations at the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism: Maciej Cieciora and Volodymyr Vityk from Ukraine and students of Data Science at the Faculty of Economics: Raiwin Veeraplin from Thailand and Innocent Novart from Tanzania.
