About the project

The meetings carried out under the slogan 'Languages without borders - UMCS Internationals for High Schools' consist of language and culture workshops conducted by foreign students of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin from various countries of the world.

The aim of the workshops, which are conducted as part of the Welcome to Poland project, is the intercultural integration of foreign students studying at our University with the community of the city and the region, as well as the promotion of the English-language educational offer of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University of Lublin among secondary and primary school students. The workshops are organised in the form of stationary meetings from September 2021. In the winter semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, due to the introduction of a remote learning formula at UMCS, the workshops were also held online. Currently, the workshops are conducted in a stationary form.

The meetings are held as part of the implementation of the Welcome to Poland - 'UMCS 4 All' project financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.

The task is coordinated by Dr Ewelina Panas - the Rector's Proxy for Internationalisation of Education.
