The bootcamp is open to graduate and doctoral students as well as more experienced researchers who have some basic knowledge of statistics and experience using R.

Before the course, participants are required to familiarise themselves with the first four chapters of Stefan Th. Gries’s coursebook Statistics for Linguistics with R. A Practical Introduction (2nd revised edition, 2013, Berlin/Boston: De Gruyter Mouton). Please note that you will be asked to confirm your acceptance of this requirement when completing the registration form. The companion website for the book is available here.

The classes will be held in a computer lab, and desktop computers with R and RStudio installed will be available for all participants. Attendees who would like to work on their own laptops are requested to install R and RStudio before the beginning of the course. R can be downloaded from: <>, and RStudio is available at: <>.
