UMCS joins EURAXESS network

We are pleased to announce that Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin has officially joined the prestigious EURAXESS - Researchers in Motion network. This institution, which has been in existence since 2004, brings together more than 1,500 members from 650 organizations in 43 countries.

EURAXESS is a comprehensive portal offering the largest database of job and grant opportunities for researchers in Europe, career development tools and opportunities for building scientific collaborations. In addition, there are national portals of EURAXESS member countries, providing information on formal issues related to living and working in a given country, national grants and research funding programs.

The purpose of Polish institutions' participation in this prestigious network is to build support for researchers coming to Europe and conducting research at various European institutions. EURAXESS members exchange knowledge, experiences and good practices, which fosters the development and professionalization of their activities.

The network offers researchers (including doctoral students) a database of job and grant opportunities in European institutions and other regions of the world, career development tools and individualized support in formal and administrative issues related to mobility. For institutions hosting doctoral students and researchers, EURAXESS provides free posting of job and grant opportunities, hiring support and career development tools for researchers.

By joining EURAXESS, Polish institutions open the door to a wide variety of opportunities for scientific cooperation, not only at the European, but also at the global level. It is worth mentioning that the National Agency for Academic Exchange has been acting as EURAXESS coordinator in Poland since January 1, 2022, and manages the national website.
