As part of the implementation of the HR Excellence in Research Strategy at UMCS, we invite all researchers - especially those who are beginning their careers - to the next lecture on career planning.
The lecture will be held at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the UMCS on October 27, 2022, from 14:00 to 16:00 in room 202 (2nd floor).
The meeting will be chaired by Prof. Marcin Drąg, PhD, head of the Department of Biological Chemistry and Bioimaging at the University of Technology.
Prof. Marcin Drąg is a multiple grantee of the Foundation for Polish Science. He has completed many research grants, including from the budget of the National Science Center and Polish and foreign universities, institutions and organizations funding advanced scientific technologies. Since the beginning of the pandemic, he has been engaged in research on the structure of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
His scientific achievements were presented in a publication of the Foundation for Polish Science titled. "Reaching for the unexplored".
Prof. Marcin Drąg has developed "HyCoSuL" (Hybrid Combinatorial Substrate Library) technology, unique for chemistry, biology and medicine. It can significantly contribute to the development of a new and wide range of drugs for, among other things, civilization diseases. For its creation, he received in 2019 the most prestigious scientific award in Poland, the so-called Polish Nobel Prize - the FNP Prize in Chemical and Materials Sciences.
