Requirements and skills

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualities:
- 1-3 years of business experience in the Tax and/or Finance Department.VAT knowledge.
- Proficiency in technology, including Excel and Web-based applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Main responsibilities

At Solenis, we are on a journey of growth and expansion, and we are searching for a talented team member to join our dynamic EMEA VAT Compliance & Reporting team in Warsaw.As the team expands, we want to bring on board a proactive and skilled individual, who will play a crucial role in our continued success.Reporting directly to the Indirect Tax Manager/VAT Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with the rest of the tax and finance team in the EMEA region.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Timely and accurate preparation and filing of VAT returns, Intrastat reports, EC Sales Lists, as applicable for selected EMEA countries, including extraction and analysis of data from SAP.
- Reviewing VAT returns & VAT accounts reconciliations for selected EMEA countries.
- Coordinating tax payments derived from the VAT filings and ensuring VAT refunds are received promptly.- Preparing reconciliations and cleaning up VAT accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and/or annual basis, as required.
- Collaborating with the Finance department to ensure accounting correctness with VAT regulations.
- Providing guidance on VAT and Intrastat regulations (EMEA) to the business and finance teams.
- Supporting both internal (as part of the group audit) and external VAT audits.Assisting the Indirect Tax Manager/ VAT Supervisor in VAT compliance processes for the EMEA region and engaging in ad-hoc activities.
