The Center for World University Rankings 2020-2021

We want to inform you that on June 8 this year CWUR - The Center for World University Rankings 2020-2021 world ranking has been published. The list includes 20,000 universities from around the world, from which CWUR has chosen 2,000 best. In this year's ranking, the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin appeared in 1469 position, taking 23rd place among Polish universities (the highest among universities from Eastern Poland).

The CWUR list takes into account the following indicators:

  • quality of education, measured by the number of university graduates who have won the most important international awards, distinctions and medals in relation to the size of the university (25%);
  • employment of graduates, measured by the number of university graduates who held managerial positions in leading global companies in relation to the size of the university (25%);
  • quality, measured by the number of researchers who have won important international awards, distinctions and medals (10%);
  • findings:
  1. research results, measured by the total number of scientific articles (10%);
  2. high-quality publications, measured by the number of scientific articles published in top-ranking journals (10%);
  3. impact, measured by the number of scientific articles appearing in highly influential journals (10%);
  4. citations, measured by the number of highly cited scientific articles (10%).
