We are pleased to announce that by the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, of 4 July this year, Dr hab. Waldemar Kociuba, prof. UMCS was awarded the title of professor of sciences and natural sciences in the discipline of Earth and environmental sciences.
Prof. Dr. hab. Waldemar Kociuba is a geographer by profession, dealing with geomorphological studies of polar areas. His scientific interests mainly concern the contemporary development of river valleys and the assessment of the geomorphological response of the environment to progressive climatic changes and hydro-meteorological events of above average course. He has been affiliated with the UMCS for more than 30 years and is currently employed at our Institute in the Department of Geology, Soil Science and Geoinformation.
