The internationalisation of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University is a necessity, a challenge, but also an opportunity to improve the quality of research, to contribute to European and global science and to be successful on the international education market. With this in mind, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University has prepared a Programme for the Internationalisation of Research at UMCS for the years 2020-2024, the implementation of which will support the achievement of the strategic objective of increasing the internationalisation of scientific activities undertaken at Marie Curie-Skłodowska University.
The Programme was developed by the Strategic Team established as part of the implementation of the UMCS Inter-Pro task, which is part of the project entitled “Integrated UMCS”.
Strategic Team, was composed of representatives of faculty authorities, central administration, and chaired by the Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, currently Rector of UMCS prof. dr hab. Radosław Dobrowolski.
In June 2020, the document was approved by the UMCS Senate.
The strategic objective of the Programme is to increase the internationalisation of research at UMCS. The goal relates directly to the UMCS Strategy for 2019-2025.
