Studenckie Centrum Kultury was opened in 2011 as a part of the University of Opole, in a new building financed by European Union funds (Europejski Fundusz Rozwoju Regionalnego). The goal of this entity is to provide an infrastructure base for showcase, promotion and development of cultural activity of the University’s academia.
SCK brings together cultural work with art education. The only highlighted creative work of SCK is Studio dźwięku which animates music scene in Opole – concerts, recordings. Student Council and Redakcja Radia Sygnały have their headquarters here.
