scientific internship of assistant professors from the Institute of Air Navigation of the Military Academy in Dęblin

On 29.05-02.06.2023, the Department of Hydrology and Climatology of the Institute of Earth and Environmental Sciences of the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management of UMCS had the opportunity to host three assistant professors from the Institute of Aviation Navigation of the Military Academy in Dęblin for a scientific internship: Małgorzata Kirschenstein, PhD, Kamil Krasuski and Maj. Robert Ambroziak. As part of the scientific internship, the assistant professors had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the research equipment
and software provided by the Laboratory of the Department of Hydrology and Climatology, perform observations and measurements at the Meteorological Observatory. Professor W. Zinkiewicz and at field meteorological stations. An integral part of the internship was to present the principles of operation of the meteorological telemetry system owned by the Department of Hydrology and Climatology, as well as to familiarize
with the research issues of the Roztocze Scientific Station in Guciów.

During the scientific seminar of the Department of Hydrology and Climatology of UMCS, during the speech of Dr. Małgorzata Kirschenstein, also the employees of our Department could learn about the scientific and research activities carried out by the Aviation Military Academy in the field of meteorology. It was certainly an opportunity to exchange experiences and perhaps establish further cooperation.

As part of the visit, meetings were held with the Dean of WNoZiGP, prof. Jolanta Rodzoś and the Director of INoZiŚ, Prof. Agnieszka Pidek.
