Polar Festival

We are pleased to invite you to the Polar Festival, which will take place on June 4 this year. in Warsaw at the Amphitheater of the Wolski Center for Culture at ul. Elekcyjna 17. The event is organized as part of the EDU-ARCTIC.PL project coordinated by the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The UMCS Institute for Earth and Environmental Sciences and the UMCS Polar Station in Calypsobyen in Spitsbergen will actively promote research on the natural environment in the Arctic region.

The aim of the festival is to expand knowledge about the polar regions, as well as the research of Polish scientists both in the Arctic and in the Antarctic.

During the event, apart from interesting presentations, participants will also have exhibitions, promotional stands, stands with educational games, VR goggles with 360-degree polar films and equipment used by polar explorers to work in the field.

Participation in the Polar Festival has also been confirmed by numerous research institutions related to polar research, including: the Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, the Polar Research Center, the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Paleobiology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the University of Wrocław.
