The focus of business has shifted from from monitoring various metrics to actually basing strategic decisions on insights from data analysis. This has put emphasis on data-driven KPIs and measureability of success. Data analytics plays a huge role in success of a business in this age of digital gold that is data.
We invite you to the lecture of Professor Quji Bichia "Data analysis methods" on May 25 at 9:45-11:15 in classroom 102.
We will discuss how data is reshaping our world in front of us and what future prospects are opening up. Lecture will touch on data analysis techniques that are used in predictive analytics - univariate and multivariate analysis. These methods help identify relationships between different metrics and predict the future. While data analysis combines many techniques, predictive techniques are certainly the most exciting ones. Univariate and multivariate methods can be used in various industries from sales predictions in retail and loan risk assessment in banking to analysing medical data and so on. We will discuss the methodology and briefly connect it with some use cases.
