Centrum Kultury Studenckiej Mrowisko is a unique place, fully saturated with the student spirit. Its building was renovated in 2011 specially for the students. All student organizations, scattered across the whole university, were brought together here. In Mrowisko headquartered are: Uczelniany Zarząd Samorządu Studenckiego, Uczelniana Rada Samorządu Doktorantów, Best, IAESTE, AEGEE, ESN SUT Gliwice, Watra, Harnasie, Stowarzyszenie Wychowanków Politechniki Śląskiej, and even Śląski Yacht Club. University’s artists are also active here, namely Akademicki Zespół Muzyczny, Akademicki Chór Politechniki Śląskiej and Akademicki Teatr Remont. Klub Studencki Spirala also exists within Mrowisko. The building is brimming with life 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. We organize about 360 events a year which are attended by 95 000 people. We are a real anthill (pl. Mrowisko) and we invite all students. We are doing all we can to make them feel good, to give them an opportunity to realize their passions and feel artistically accomplished. We are also trying to bare before them culture’s secrets, the culture with a big C. Everyday when the building is so full of life we feel that what we do by working like ants makes sense. We hope that it will stay that way.
