Centrum Kultury i Kształcenia Ustawicznego Uniwersytetu Rolniczego w Krakowie

Centrum Kultury i Kształcenia Ustawicznego is a university-wide organization of the Uniwersytet Rolniczy im. Hugona Kołłątaja in Cracow, which brings together in its structures already existing student organizations centered on culture. The main task of the Centrum is to aid, continuously or temporarily, student organizations, art teams and creative groups active in the University. The aid consists of meritorical care and providing a place and materials for the students.

Centrum consists of the following culture bodies:

“Buda” Club - was founded on the wave of “renewal” after the October of 1956 in Dom Studencki Wyższej Szkoły Rolniczej on the Stanisław Ziaja street (now Jabłonowskich street). Almost till the end of the 70s “BUDA” was the center of cultural activity of the student body. Small form theater “Rezonans”, “Klub Piosenki” and famous in Poland cabaret “Pod Budą” were active here. In 1972 Klub “BUDA” was awarded first place in Czerwona Róża contest for the best student club in Poland. Today Klub “BUDA” is a fantastic place for concerts, meetings, comedy show evenings and other cultural events.

Klub Akademicki “Arka” - has been active since 1982, and its function is based on the work of Rada Programowa, which brings together students from all university’s departments. The club provides an opportunity to develop not only artistic but also organizational skills. Club’s flagship events are: Międzywydziałowy Turniej Artystyczny for the Puchar Przechodni Prorektora ds. Kształcenia and Międzyuczelniany Przegląd Kabaretów Studenckich „KLAMKA”.

Zespół Sygnalistów Myśliwskich „HAGARD” - has been active since 2003. It brings together musically talented students, especially from Wydział Leśny. Under the supervision of a qualified musician they work on perfecting their talents and cultivating hunting traditions through hunting signals and music.

Chór Uniwersytetu Rolniczego - is the youngest group which embarked on its journey in 2003. From the very beginning the main goal of the choir is participating and adding splendor to its Alma Mater’s events and promoting the university. To publicize the University the choir goes on tours, participates in competitions and festivals in Poland and abroad.

Studencki Zespół Góralski „Skalni” is a real legend and its roots reach the year 1952. Teenagers from Podhale could not part with their tradition - the love for their dialect, dances, songs and Polish highland music. It’s a world-scale phenomenon. Students, far from their home regions constantly cultivate their fathers’ customs. It’s an amatour group and that’s what makes it so authentic.
