ACK „Alternator” is a skilled team of culture managers, which in the span of a year organizes more than 150 various events. The main activities are: music scene - Akademicki Chór UG concerts as well as Muzyczne UGięcie project; dance - Zespół Pieśni i Tańca UG JANTAR performances, Zespół Tańca Irlandzkiego i Szkockiego UG “Trebraruna”, Zespół Celtycki UG “Animus Saltandi” and Zespół Tańca Flamenco “Los Mariscos” performances; film - theme cycles and Dyskusyjny Klub Filmowy UG “Miłość Blondynki” events; theater - Scena Teatralna Alternatora (Standby Studio, Grupa Improwizacji Teatralnej, Teatr Tańca).
“Alternator” actively engages in open University politics by participating in projects such as “Folkowe Wakacje” - summer art half-camp for children, dance-education concerts for the youngest children.
Outside the broadly understood cultural activity, Centrum engages in promoting pro-ecological behavior - making trendy bicycle culture, and organizing discussion panels on alternative sources of energy.
“Alternator” is open to new ideas, ready for cooperation and broadening its area of activity. Collaborating with “Alternator” can assume various forms according to the needs and expectations of the students. The simplest form of cooperation, for both individual creators, animators, and larger groups, is AlterProjekt. In this offer possible are: concerts, film reviews, theater performances, exhibitions, meetings with artists, contests and workshops. Another form of cooperation is Rezydencja, an offer created for creators and informal art groups. All endeavors of artistic activity can count on interest and professional support in projects, from both artistic and meritorical standpoint, as well as through the provided technical equipment.
