American Corner Education and Business Center

The American Corner serves as a regional center for resources and information for programs mainly focused on American education and culture. The main goal of the Center is to promote current knowledge about the USA and shared values such as freedom, democracy, rule of law, responsibility, justice, and security. 

The mission of the American Corner is to provide free and open access to current information about the USA to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between Poles and Americans. The Center's activities are primarily aimed at young people, high school students, and university students. One important element of this vision is the involvement of Poles and Americans who have had personal experience with American education and are able to share it with others, such as Fulbright program scholars. 

So far, thanks to the activities of the American Corner, the Polish Hollywood concert has taken place, along with many workshops for young people and debates organized into three cycles: The American Corner Lublin Debates focusing on the topic of presidential elections in the United States, Nuclear Debates on energy security, and Military Debates. All events have been extremely popular, as evidenced by the full attendance at each one. 

On April 15 at 11:00 AM, the official Opening Gala of the American Center for Education and Business UMCS American Corner took place in the Small Performance Hall of the Academic Center for Culture and Media "Chatka Żaka." The honorary guest of the day was His Excellency the Ambassador of the United States to Poland, Mark Brzeziński.
