The competition aims to promote the importance of science and scientific discoveries for the development of a country or region, and world's economy and improving the lives of its inhabitants, as well as to stimulate cognitive curiosity and develop interest in science among children and young people between the ages of six and fifteen.

The progress of civilisation is inextricably linked to scientific progress. Throughout history, inventions and scientific breakthroughs have appeared from time to time, which have revolutionised the world and changed the course of history. Understanding the laws that govern the reality around us has allowed people not only to improve life on earth, but also to explore space.

From your perspective, which inventions and discoveries deserve to be called the greatest inventions and discoveries of all time and why?

A jury will select three winners from the submitted entries. In addition, the jury will be guided by a set of criteria such as: compliance of the work with the competition task, a convincing statement justifying the choice of the invention or discovery as the one which has had the greatest impact on the history of mankind, and an unconventional approach to the topic.
The Committee will select three winners from among the submitted works. Attractive prizes await the winners, with a budget of as much as PLN 2,000 (gross)!

The competition is designed with an international approach to it and is particularly aimed at children from primary schools in Poland and abroad.
