The new academic year begins

Dear Students and PhD Students, On the occasion of the beginning of the 2022/2023 academic year, I would especially like to welcome new students who will join our academic community. I wish all first-year students and first-year PhD students are starting their studies in our Alma Mater that you will not run out of enthusiasm and persistence in achieving your goals, professional ambitions and plans.

Thank you for choosing and putting your trust in our University. I am convinced that you will gain appropriate knowledge, experience and many valuable skills during your studies, thanks to which you will be well prepared to take up your dream, future professional job. Let the time of your studies be a source of satisfaction and scientific inspiration for you. On the other hand, to students of higher years, I wish the joy of gaining further knowledge and perseverance on the way to the diploma.

Dear Students, studying is not only a period of increased learning but also new friendships and opportunities. I encourage you to participate in academic life actively and take advantage of the opportunities and perspectives offered by our University - and there are many of them. You can develop your talents and interests in various research clubs and university organizations. At your disposal is the impressive UMCS academic campus, located in the center of Lublin, where, among others, didactic buildings, student dormitories, the "Trójka" academic canteen with a coworking zone, the Physical Culture Center and the legendary Żaka Chatka. I also encourage you to familiarize yourself with the opportunities offered by various international exchange programs, incl. Erasmus +.
