We invite you to listen to the new episode of the podcast "Voice of Science" with prof. Dr hab. Walenty Baluk - research worker at the Institute of Political Sciences and Administration and director of the Centre for Eastern Europe at UMCS. The expert talks about research and projects related to the issues of Eastern Europe.

Prof. dr hab. Walenty Baluk - a graduate of the Institute of Political Science at the University of Wrocław. At the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Wrocław, he obtained a doctoral degree (2000) and a postdoctoral degree (2007) in political science. In the years 2000-2011, he was employed as an assistant professor at the Department of Research on Eastern Europe at the Institute of International Studies at the University of Wrocław. In 2011, he became a professor at the Department of Human Rights at the Faculty of Political Science at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. In 2014, he obtained the title of full professor and became the Centre for Eastern Europe at UMCS. His research interests include political systems, foreign and security policy, and national relations in Eastern European countries.

* "Voice of Science" is a series of popular science podcasts co-created with scientists and experts from the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Each episode presents interesting issues from various fields. Short lectures and talks will help everyone broaden their horizons and provide a dose of knowledge shared with others.
