We present another new direction to you at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of UMCS.
Social rehabilitation pedagogy (first-cycle studies) is a package of competencies that allow you to build an effective relationship and educational and rehabilitation work with the student, educational group and parents.
Studies in this field will allow you to acquire skills in the field of:
managing an educational group,
proper response in crises,
ensuring safety and building an appropriate educational atmosphere,
rehabilitation diagnosis,
prevention and therapy of risky behaviours,
treatment of behavioural disorders and preventive interventions,
psychotherapy,
art therapy,
interpersonal communication,
methodology of care and education, rehabilitation and preventive work
There will be two specialities to choose from:
rehabilitation pedagogy with psychotherapy
rehabilitation pedagogy with social prevention
After completing this course, you will be able to start work:
in non-governmental institutions providing help to children and adolescents with social disorders and their families,
in justice institutions as:
for a court social probation officer,
employee of the probation centre
an officer in penitentiary units, pre-trial detention centres and prisons
