EMBO LABORATORY LEADERSHIP COURSE
which is designed to support excellence in science and is brought with support from
EUROPEAN MOLECULAR BIOLOGY ORGANIZATION
Leadership and management skills are critical for a successful career in science. The three-day course will introduce key academic leadership concepts and help participants develop their individual leadership styles. The course also provides insight into how teams work best together and how to identify and resolve barriers to the efficient operation of teams. Throughout the course, the trainers provide tools, techniques and insight tailored specifically to the laboratory/research setting for the management of teams, good communication, healthy resolution of conflict and the management of workloads and responsibilities. The principle of this course is "As much theory as necessary and as much practice as possible". Therefore, practical exercises, in the form of role-play and discussion groups, that provide hands-on experience will be an integral aspect of the course.
Course fee:
The course is free of charge.
Participant covers cost of accommodation and transportation.

Eligibility:
To apply for participation in the Course, the applicant must be a senior postdoctorate researcher from Polish scientific institutions representing life sciences and meeting selection criteria.
