My scientific interest focuses on specific aspects of personal finance. I am interested in the process, motives and aims of saving. In my research, I also analyse the relation between saving and debt, as in households, they often occur together. The particular area of my interest is how people make use of different financial instruments to meet their goals. My research also deals with a variety of household approaches towards managing their financial situation as it differs from country to country.
