About our Guest: Angelė Tamulevičiūtė-Šekštelienė is a lecturer and Vice Dean for Internationalisation at the Faculty of Creative Industries at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania. She teaches subjects in the field of public communication, including public relations, brand communication, and intercultural communication, supervises student research. She is also a co-author of the textbook Įtaigi viešoji komunikacija (Persuasive Public Communication), developed in collaboration with colleagues. Angelė has 18 years of teaching experience in both Lithuanian and international universities, has delivered lectures through faculty exchange programs at universities in Germany, Portugal, Austria, Poland, the Netherlands, China, and other countries. In addition to her academic teaching, she conducts seminars for organizations and actively participates in international academic events such as conferences, summer schools, and seminars. Together with international scholars, she conducts cross-border research and contributes to the international research group Citizenship, Culture and Communication. About the lecture's topic: This topic explores the process of defining and communicating one’s unique identity, values, and strengths to create a memorable and authentic personal brand. It covers strategies for building a consistent presence both online and offline, shaping how others perceive you in professional and social contexts. Additionally, it addresses the challenges and strategies of building and adapting a personal brand across different cultural environments. Students learn how to present themselves authentically while respecting cultural norms, communication styles, and expectations in global environments. The course emphasizes using intercultural awareness as a strength for international careers, digital presence, and effective networking. |
