Międzynarodowa konferencja Students’ Corner 2021

(English version below) Koło Naukowe Anglistów UMCS serdecznie zaprasza na szóstą edycję międzynarodowej konferencji studencko-doktoranckiej Students’ Corner 2021, która odbędzie się online w dniu 6 kwietnia 2021. Miło nam poinformować, że tegoroczny wykład gościnny wygłosi Prof. Rebecca Feasey z Bath Spa University w Wielkiej Brytanii.

Propozycje prezentacji (do 300 słów, w języku angielskim) prosimy przesyłać przez formularz zgłoszeniowy (w języku angielskim) do 31 marca 2021 roku. Konferencja odbędzie się na platformie Teams. Nie ma opłaty konferencyjnej. Wybrane artykuły na podstawie prezentacji zostaną opublikowane w 7. numerze czasopisma New Horizons in English Studies https://journals.umcs.pl/nh (20 p.).

The Association of Students of English and The Department of English and American Studies and The Department of Linguistics of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University are pleased to announce the 6th Students' Conference on English Studies. The conference titled 6th INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS’ CORNER 2021: LITERATURE – CULTURE & MEDIA – LINGUISTICS – DIDACTICS will be held in Lublin on April 6, 2021.

This year's inaugural lecture will be delivered by Professor Rebecca Feasey. Rebecca Feasey is Senior Lecturer in Film and Media Communications at Bath Spa University. She has published a range of work on the representation of gender in popular media culture. She has published in journals such as Feminist Media Studies and the Journal of Gender Studies. She has written book length studies on masculinity and popular television (EUP 2008), motherhood on the small screen (Anthem 2012), maternal audiences (Peter Lang 2016) and infertility and non-traditional family building in the media (Palgrave Macmillan 2019).

Students interested in participating in the conference are invited to fill in the proposal form. Please include the name of the panel in which you would like to participate and an abstract of no more than 300 words. Proposal deadline is March 31, 2021. There is no conference fee.

Please note that selected papers will be published in the conference proceedings - the 7th volume of New Horizons in English Studies.
