- design, synthesis, structural and physicochemical characterization of metal ions (mostly d-electrons) complexes with N, O, S-donor ligands

- study of the catalytic properties of synthesized compounds

- design, synthesis, structural and physicochemical characteristics of N, O, S-donor ligands with particular regard to spectroscopic properties

- study of keto-enol tautomeric equilibrium study in solution and solid state  

- study of the impact of various factors on metal ions complexation process via different type of Schiff base and their structure

- examination of thermal properties of organic and inorganic materials (e.g. analysis of changes occurring during heating, analysis of gaseous decomposition products).
