Students Research Team of European Centre UMCS

The Students Research Team of European Centre UMCS is a university-wide organization uniting students and doctoral students from the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism and the Faculty of Law and Administration. The organization operates in the field of broadly understood issues of European integration.

 ***

After the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon, a new stage of integration processes in the European Union began. Since then, a number of its key vectors of development have undergone significant changes, and the way of perceiving the Union's future and mission in its entirety has been reconceptualized. The long-standing challenges, led by Brexit, are constantly hitting the philosophical foundations of efficient and unique on a global scale functioning of this international organization with quasi-state features.

All those dynamic, multi-threaded changes and integration processes require in-depth analysis, ordering and evaluation. These tasks are the focus of, among others, the European Centre UMCS. Since August 2019, students and doctoral students of our university, who are passionate about the European Union, are concerned with the issues of European integration within the Students Research Team.
