Disintegration of the Middle East - course by Prof. Mario Sznajder (Hebrew University of Jerusalem)

Prof. Mario Sznajder (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, ISRAEL) will teach an on-line course "Disintegration of the Middle East" at the Political Science and Journalism Faculty, UMCS in October-November 2020.

Professsor MARIO SZNAJDER, is an Israeli political scientist and author of over 100 academic articles and book chapters on democratization, human rights and politics, political exile in Israel, the Middle East, Latin America as well as on political antisemitism, ideology and practice of fascism. Long time Professor at the Department of Political Science of th (emeritus since 2015) at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in Israel.  Leon Blum Chair on Political Science, Chair of the Department of Political Science. Served as Chair of RC 13 – Research Committee on Democratization – at IPSA – International Political Science Association. Research Fellow at the Harry S. Truman Institute for the Advancement of Peace at the Hebrew University.Member of the editorial boards of various scientific publications in the above areas of specialization. Selected recent publications include: M. Sznajder, L. Roniger, C. A. Forment (eds.) Shifting Frontiers of Citizenship: The Latin American Experience (Leiden, Boston, MA: Brill, 2013); E. Alimi, A. Sela, M. Sznajder, Popular Contention, Regime, & Transition. Arab Revolts in Comparative Global Perspective (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2016).

Prof. Mario Sznajder course Disintegration of the Middle East will be taught on line in October-November 2020. The course will be conducted within Integrated UMCS Project .

Schedule of lectures: Mon and Thrsd,  17:00-20:00 (with breaks); October 29,  November 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23  

All lectures will be on Teams Platform, link and code to the course will be provided
