Quaternary - an invitation to publish

We are pleased to inform that Dr hab. Przemysław Mroczek (Department of Geomorphology and Palaeogeography MCSU) has become an editor of a special issue of Loess Deposits and Human Activities scheduled for publication within the journal Quaternary (ISSN 2571-550X).

This Special Issue welcomes papers focusing on topics including (but not limited to) the following:

  • Accumulation of loess and loess-like sediments,
  • Record of human activity in loess-palaeosol sequences,
  • Cultural layers and their genetic interpretation,
  • Anthropogenic environmental changes recorded in loess,
  • Soils developed on loess as a source of information about man,
  • Loess relief as a factor modelling migration routes,
  • Distribution of loess covers and migration routes,
  • Loess cover as carriers of information on societal functioning.

Therefore, we invite you to submit proposals for articles to the above-mentioned special issue. The deadline for submissions is 30 September 2021.

Quaternary is an open access (Open Access), peer-reviewed and relatively young journal managed by a team of internationally renowned specialists. The editor-in-chief is Prof. Dr. Jef Vandenberghe. The focus of the journal is on presenting research results in the study of the Quaternary in its broadest sense and covers the whole range of disciplines related to geological, geographical, biological, physical, chemical, environmental and human sciences. In addition, reviews, research articles, communications, technical notes, as well as essays are published. There are no restrictions on the length of articles.
