Estonian guest Dr Anneli Poska

During the period of 28-31 July this year, at the Institute of Earth and Environmental Sciences of UMCS, we hosted Dr. Anneli Poska from the Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia - an outstanding palaeoecologist and specialist in the reconstruction of the climate of various Pleistocene interglacials.

Dr Anneli Poska cooperates with Polish palaeoecologists, both representatives of Earth and environmental sciences and biological sciences. For many years she has been associated with a group of palaeoclimatologists working at Lund University in Sweden and has completed many high-grade works in international teams. Currently, she is involved in the NCN OPUS 14 research project "Mid-Eemian climate oscillations. Reconstruction based on multidisciplinary studies of fossil lake sediments of the Garwolin Plain (Central Poland) ”. The grant is headed by prof. dr hab. Irena Agnieszka Pidek (Department of Geomorphology and Paleogeography).
