UMCS success in the NAWA "Welcome to Poland" competition

The Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin became a beneficiary of the "Welcome to Poland" Program, organized by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The granted funding will be allocated to activities addressed to both candidates and international students undertaking studies at UMCS.

Our University was among NAWA's beneficiaries thanks to the Rector's Proxy for the Internationalization - Dr Ewelina Panas and the director of the Promotion Centre - Dr Marcin Gołębiowski.

The goal of the Welcome to Poland program is to internationalize Polish institutions of higher education and science by financing projects related to:

  • building their potential in terms of internationalization and the admission and service of international students, doctoral students, teaching and research staff;
  • promoting these institutions in the international arena, particularly through the foreign promotion of Polish institutions of higher education and science and cooperation with foreign graduates;

The program shapes the attitudes of openness and tolerance in the academic environment and the university's social environment.
