Special program of the National Science Centre for Ukraine

The National Science Centre is starting the call for applications in a unique program for researchers from Ukraine. Scientists fleeing the war will be able to continue their work in Polish centres.

The program is open to people who have at least a doctoral degree (in the Ukrainian system - Candidate of Science) and worked at Ukrainian universities and other research centres before the outbreak of the war. The program covers fundamental and applied research.

The procedure for submitting and evaluating applications in the competition is as fast and straightforward as possible. Universities and other research units are eligible to submit applications. Applications should include the application prepared by the unit and the candidate's or candidate's CV. The NCN discipline coordinators will assess them, and the Centre Director will decide. Also, the formalities related to the settlement of the transferred funds will be kept to a minimum.

Research units participating in the program must provide the host researchers with caregivers who are specialists in the same or related scientific discipline.

The budget of the particular program is PLN 6 million. The call for applications starts on 28th March. They will be processed at weekly intervals. Applications are accepted by ePUAP.

The special program of the National Science Centre is implemented as a task assigned to the Ministry of Education and Science.
