National Independence Day

On 11th November Poland celebrates the National Day of Independence to commemorate the re-establishment of the state of Poland at the end of World War I in 1918. To mark the 100th anniversary of Poland’s independence the Polish Parliament has passed a bill which designates 12th November, Monday, to be a public holiday in 2018.
Shops, institutions and businesses remain closed on public holidays in Poland.
