Elections: UMCS Students' Union

Joining a Students’ Union is a great way to meet new people and do something worthwhile, while developing interests and skills at the same time. Representatives of the student body are currently working on a few exciting projects, including: Student Film Marathons, Finding Your Better Half and Kozienalia Student Culture Days.

Students’ Union elections to fill in positions it the Board will be held on Wednesday 10 January 2018 at 7 pm in a conference room in Femina dormitory.

At the meeting on Wednesday students interested in joining in will be first introduced to the structure and operations of the UMCS Students’ Union and will have the chance to discuss development opportunities within the organisation.  

Representatives are to be selected based on information provided in a questionnaire, where candidates will be asked to describe their main interests, relevant experience and preferred area of engagement. Successful candidates will have the chance to work within one of the commissions operating in the following areas:

  • Marketing and Promotion
  • Didactics and Quality Assurance in Learning and Teaching
  • Implementation of IT solutions
  • Culture
  • Sports
  • Law
  • Student Development
  • Cooperation with Student Organisations
  • Student Exchange
  • Social work

Whether your interests lie in sport, culture, business or social work - there's a role that could be perfect for you. Take a look and nominate yourself if you want to get involved. It might just be the best thing you do at the University!
