Call for applications for "elevator pitches" during the academic symposium of the REINITIALISE project

We cordially invite young scientists * to join research activities in the REINITIALISE project: "Protection of fundamental rights in the use of digital technologies in e-health services", financed by the European Commission under the prestigious Horizon 2020 program.

* According to the definition, young researchers are those who, at the time of recruitment, have not achieved the first four years (full-time equivalent) of their research career and have not obtained a doctoral degree.

Scientists at the initial stage of their career from the universities participating in the project, i.e. UMCS, KU Leuven and the University of Macerata, are invited to participate in the Academic Symposium entitled "The actual boundaries of e-health: ethical, legal and technological issues" to be held online on 29th April 2021 and to present "elevator pitch" on the following research topics related to the symposium theme:

  • Ethical aspects of AI, digital media, e-health;
  • Legal aspects of AI, digital media, e-health;
  • Socio-economic aspects of AI, digital media, e-health;
  • Technological aspects of AI, digital media, e-health.

Young scientists are invited to present their current research interests and planned or implemented activities, provided that they are related to the above-mentioned subject, in the form of a maximum 3-minute presentation. The presentations will be in English.

"Elevator pitches" is a form of presentation in which ideas are presented concisely, focusing on the idea's main aspects.

Participation in such an undertaking is an opportunity to expand international networks and increase research opportunities by establishing new international and interdisciplinary forms of cooperation on innovative issues both with other young scientists and experienced researchers from our University, the Belgian KU Leuven and the Italian University of Macerata.

The deadline for registration and sending your slides is April 25, 2021.

More information about the event and the application form can be found at https://www.reinitialise.eu/blog/1st-call-for-pitches-for-early-stage-researchers/
