Agreement on cooperation between UMCS and the KRESY Logistics and Export Development Association

In April this year, an agreement was concluded between the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and the KRESY Logistics and Export Development Association based in Chełm. Its subject is cooperation, which will concern the sphere of transport, forwarding and logistics education, customs education, warehouse management, human resources management and international cooperation.

- The signed agreement concerns cooperation initiated by the Faculty of Economics of UMCS with the KRESY Logistics and Export Development Association based in Chełm. Planned activities include teaching, research and implementation cooperation in logistics, business analytics and the information society. It is also planned to involve research and teaching staff, doctoral students and students from the Faculty of Economics and possibly other UMCS departments and institutes in activities related to the development and operation of logistic processes and international economic cooperation in line with the development of the Silk Road. UMCS coordinator is prof. Piotr Witkowski from the Department of World Economy and European Integration at the Faculty of Economics - explains dr hab. Zbigniew Pastuszak, Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation with the Economy of UMCS.

- We are looking forward to working with the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. From the beginning of the Association for the Development of Logistics and Export KRESY, we support every initiative to combine business with science in practice. An important dimension of such cooperation is shaping the quality of work of staff and increasing the innovativeness of enterprises. We hope that both institutions will gain a lot from the signed agreement - comments Jacek Korzeniewski, Vice President of the Management Board, Association for the Development of Logistics and Export KRESY.

The agreement with the KRESY Association has been concluded for an indefinite period and will allow for extending and making the educational offer at UMCS more attractive.
