Kick-off meeting in Lublin

From 17th to 19th October 2017 we hosted delegates from Partner Universities in the course of the DT.Uni. – Design Thinking Approach for an Interdisciplinary University project. A total of 18 members of academic and managing staff arrived in Lublin.

Over 3 days, together with the MCSU team, they carried out numerous study visits and working meetings, during which they were planning their work in the project.

The first day was spent on a meeting with professor Radosław Dobrowolski and an official inauguration of the three-year-long project. Next, it was time to present all the members of the consortium and to get to know each other. The second and third day were focused on actual work and coordinating the following phases of the project, as well as learning about the potential Lublin has as a perfect location to implement interdisciplinarity. The participants had a chance to listen to a series of interesting presentations and to talk to representatives of the Lublin City Office, the Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer, the Media and Art Incubator, and the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures.

As the Participants emphasised, the meeting was a time of rewarding work and of developing stronger bonds between the members of the project team. In the near future, in the course of the project, we shall create a database of good practices in the fields of interdisciplinarity and design thinking, as well as we shall run design thinking workshops for the academic staff.
