OF UNIVERSITY OF MARIE CURIE-SKŁODOWSKA IN LUBLIN
announces a competition for the position of an Assistant in the group of research and teaching staff in the Department of Painting and Drawing at the Institute of Fine Arts, Faculty of Arts, UMCS
The competition may be entered by individuals who meet the requirements specified in the Act on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018 (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2022, item 574) and in the UMCS Statute of May 29, 2019, as amended.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE COMPETITION:
- Master's degree, graduation in the field of painting;
- research and teaching aptitude confirmed by the opinion of an independent research and teaching employee;
- artistic achievements, mainly in the field of digital painting and 3D graphics;
- at least 5 years of work experience;
- teaching experience at university level in the field of digital painting and illustration in Polish and English;
- knowledge of software: Affinity Photo, Photoshop CC, Krita, Rebelle, Blender, 3DCoat, Marmoset Toolbag3, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, Unty, Unreal Engine 4, Daz3D Studio;
- fluency in English;
- fluency in Polish.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- employment under a fixed-term contract of employment from 1 October 2023 to 30 September 2025 on a full-time basis, at the primary place of work.
The closing date for the submission of documents is - 30 June 2023.
The competition will be resolved by - 14 July 2023.
The successful candidate, prior to the beginning of the employment relationship, is required to deliver originals or copies or certified true copies of the documents referred to in point II of this notice to the address indicated in point IV.
The University does not provide accommodation.
The outcome of the competition does not result in the establishment of an employment relationship.
The final decision on employment is made by the Rector.
The University reserves the right to close the competition without a result.
The University of Maria Curie-Sklodowska in Lublin with its seat at Plac Marii Curie - Skłodowskiej 5, 20-031 Lublin (hereinafter: UMCS) informs that the data collected in the recruitment process will be processed only for the purpose of the process.
The person entering the recruitment process is obliged to provide data within the scope resulting from Article 22 1 of the Labour Code and specific provisions concerning employment in a given position. Providing data in a scope broader than that resulting from the regulations is voluntary. The basis for data processing is the provisions of law and consent,
with regard to data going beyond the area resulting from the regulations.
Pursuant to Article 7(3) of the General Data Protection Regulation, with regard to data going beyond what is prescribed by law, the data subject has the right to withdraw consent at any time, whereby the withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
In accordance with Articles 15 to 21 and Article 77 of the General Data Protection Regulation, the data subject shall have the right of access, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing and the right to object to the processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, as well as the right to data portability. The personal data collected will not be sold or made available to third parties, except to those authorised by law, nor will they be transferred to third countries or international organisations, contrary to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation . The data will be processed by the UMCS during the recruitment period and, in the case of data processed on the basis of consent, until any objection is made or consent is withdrawn, and thereafter for archiving purposes, in accordance with UMCS procedures, as well as for the purposes and for the period and to the extent required by law for the safeguarding of possible claims.

- a copy of the Master's diploma;
- personal questionnaire and CV;
- a list of scientific publications;
- a list of scientific/artistic, teaching and organisational achievements, with particular emphasis on achievements in digital painting and 3D graphics;
- a statement of compliance with the requirements, in accordance with Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science (i.e. Journal of Laws 2023, item 742);
- a statement by the candidate that the UMCS will be the primary place of work;
- Candidate's declaration that he/she agrees to the processing of personal data, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation);
