Programme description

The programme will cover the basic subjects in the field of chemistry at the advanced level. This includes Scientific problems of modern chemistry, Applied physical chemistry, Modern spectroscopic techniques – analytical applications, Modern chromatographic techniques in analysis of samples in complex matrices, Microscopic techniques in chemistry and a few others. In addition, there will be courses devoted to methods of scientific papers writing, novel teaching techniques, electronic sources of scientific information etc. Naturally, in addition to the above courses, students will be involved in scientific projects (depending on the supervisor) results of which will be published and will constitute the basis of the PhD thesis.

Students qualified to the studies will be also qualified to International PhD Studies in Chemistry project within the framework of the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development in a period of 2014-2020, priority axis III Higher Education for Economy and Development, Action 3.2 PhD Studies, cofinanced from the European Union means within the European Social Fund.

Participation in project is obligatory for PhD students.

Tuition fee Polish citizens as well as international candidates entitled to study on the same conditions as Polish citizens can study free of charge. Other international candidates are charged a fee of 1000 EUR.

  3. Examination from chemistry – August 27, 2018 (Faculty of Chemistry, 20-031 Lublin, M. Curie-Skłodowska Sq. 3, lecture hall A, 1100).
  4. Interviews with candidates – August 28, 2018 (Faculty of Chemistry, 20-031 Lublin, M. Curie-Skłodowska Sq. 5, room 546, 1100).
Announcement of results – August 28, 2018  (results will be published in the Online Registration System (IRK) ).

Entry requirements Alumni of chemistry or the related studies may apply for the acceptance. Very good command of English is necessary. The candidates should also present their research achievements (scientific publications, participation in conferences, activities in academic clubs and teams) and professional qualifications.
English language requirements In order to be eligible for a programme taught in English, candidates must demonstrate that they meet English requirements for a given programme.
