Admission procedure

CALENDAR of the recruitment procedure for the PHD Program in Political Science (in English)

  1. On-line registration  - till August 28th, 2017 
  2. Submission of the documents  - till August 28th, 2017 (Political Science Faculty, 20-080 Lublin, Pl. Litewski 3, room 027, hours 9.00 – 14.00)   
  3. Interviews with candidates  - August 31st, 2017 (Political Science Faculty, 20-080 Lublin, Pl. Litewski 3, room 027, 9.00)  
  4. Results - September 1st, 2017  (on IRK, UMCS on-line recruitment system)

PERSONAL STATEMENT Candidates applying to the Doctoral (PhD) Studies Program in Political Science should provide with the dicuments a personal statement (approx. 3 pages, double space, Times New Roman 12) which should include: 

  1. Candidate's aims and objectives during doctoral studies
  2. Candidate’s area of academic interests (preliminary research proposal)
  3. Academic achievements of candidate from previous university programs ( degrees, awards, research projects, published work, participation in conferences,academic associations and reserach teams, teaching experience on university level, other activities if applicable)
  4. Work experience which might be related to the proposed area of research
  5.  Community work and other social activities of the candidate ( work in student government, participation in non-government organizations, voluntary work)

INTERVIEWS with candidates will be held on August 31st, 2017  at UMCS Political Science Faculty Building in  Lublin, Pl. Litewski 3, room 027, 9.00. International candidates who are not be able to attend the interview in Lublin will be given alternative options for presentation of their proposals. They should contact Program Director Prof. dr hab. Agata Zietek or International Students Coorcinator dr Ewelina Pans
