Scientific Activity

The main research interests concern the development of new chromatographic procedures for the determination of organic compounds in samples characterized by complex composition of the matrix, including the use of various extraction methods for sample preparation prior to chromatographic analysis.

Co-author of books chapters:
"Miniaturized methods of sample preparation" in Handbook on Miniaturization in Analytical Chemistry: Application of Nanotechnology, Ed. Ch.M. Hyssain, Elsevier, 2020.
"Silymarin Extraction From Silybum matianum L. Gaertner" in "Water Extraction of Bioactive Compounds: From Plants to Drug Development" Eds. Dominguez González H., González Muñoz M.J., Elsevier, 2017.

Author and co-author of over 50 papers published in international journals from the JCR list.

Supervisor of 1 PhD thesis (completed): "Antifungal activity of selected plant extracts, including plant residues constituting agricultural waste materials, and chemical composition of extracts" (2018).

Co-inventor in the European patent application no. 18460070.8 - 1111 "A method for determination of 5-fluorouracil in serum and a kit for thereof" (2019).

Dear Colleagues,

as a guest editor of the special issue "Sample Preparation for Chromatographic Analysis - Advances, Perspectives and Applications" of the journal Molecules (IF = 4.927), I cordially invite you to publish research articles and review works related to the topic of modern sample preparation techniques for chromatographic analysis. The development and application of new technologies, procedures and statistical tools for the design of optimal extraction and analysis conditions in both experimental and theoretical studies is a short and definitely non-exhaustive list of possible topics for this special issue. The deadline for submitting articles is extended to April 30, 2024
